25th AFA International Fertilizers Technology Conference

Sustainability Driving the Future

Arab Fertilizer Association organized the 25th AFA International Fertilizer Technology Conference and Exhibition, under the slogan “Sustainability Driving the Future”, during the period 9th – 11th of July 2012, in Dubai, United Arab of Emirates.

The Conference, annually convened in an AFA Arab member country, attracts international companies working in the field of technology, equipments and chemicals used in such an industry, in order to present their latest developments in this concern. In addition, such an event is considered a great opportunity for experts and people working in Arab fertilizer industry to meet with their counterparts from international companies so as to exchange expertise and discuss the state-of-the-art issues related to fertilizer industry. The Conference further represents one of the most important regional and international gatherings with reference to fertilizer industry technology, in which more than 250 experts participate representing 60 Arab and foreign companies from 25 countries, namely: Tunisia, Saudi Arabia,  Bahrain, Egypt, United Arab of Emirates, Morocco, Jordon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon,  Germany, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Britain, United States of America, Canada, Singapore, India, Turkey and Monte Carlo.     

It is noteworthy that 22 working papers were presented, during the Conference, by fertilizer industry international companies, that is to say: StamicarbonCoperionHoneywell - Haldor Topsøe - ALEFF GROUP CFICKBRALSTOM - Johnson Matthey - Uhde GmbH - R&D Institute of Urea

All of the stated above issues were presented together with case studies submitted by Arab companies, reflecting such companies distinguished status with reference to fertilizer industry and their achievement of the best production rates in the shed of total rationalization of natural resources particularly energy and water.

The working papers presented by Arab companies: Fertil – GPIC – SABIC – OCP - APC  also reflected such companies’ full commitment to regional and international conditions and standards related to health, safety and environment issues together with full abidance to fertilizer industry social responsibility. 

 Accompanying Exhibition:

 The Conference was accompanied by an industrial exhibition, in which a number of international companies participated, from Denmark, Switzerland, India, Belgium, Britain and Singapore. The previously mentioned companies presented the latest international technologies, technical services and equipments concerning the said field.
